Hebrews 12:12 and 13
Mighty warrior why do you sit alone and in despair?
Don’t you hear the battle raging?
Have you so easily given up the fight?
Strengthen your feeble arms and pick up that sword I gave you that is rusting from disuse
Your knees are weak from sitting so long
So sit no longer
Stand Firm!
Run to the battle. Does a warrior who knows his general has won the battle retreat in the face of the enemy?
Then why have you waved your white flag so many times?
What are you afraid of?
The enemy has flaming arrows, but you have a shield that can extinguish them
The enemy has lies but you have a helmet that protects you from them
The ground around you is muddy but you have spikes on the bottom of your shoes to help you stand
Nothing can pierce your breastplate
Who can bear the attack of your mighty sword, be they man or devil?
Not only am I sustaining you even in the thick and chaos of battle I have placed soldiers on your left and on you right.
Why then do you isolate yourself?
Why are you hiding alone in the fetal position?
And then you ask me why you keep losing the battle.
*shakes his head*
You kind of have to stand up and fight to win.
So stand up
and stand firm in the truth I have spoken to you.
