The End of an Era

As of last night at 12 am an era in my life ended. I turned twenty. I am no longer a teenager. I'm still not sure what I think about this. I decided to make a list of things I accomplished or went through in my teenage era and things Iwant to accomplish in my twenties.

Things done during my teenage era:

Started Jr. High
Started High school
Went through puberty
Abandoned my faith
Came back to Christ
Was called to preach
Graduated High school
Was accepted to Mount Vernon Nazarene University
Had a lot of crushes
Formed some of my closest friendships
Worked in a restaurant
Worked in a factory
Involved with the Awakening Great Banquet community
Grandfather died
Became a leader in my local church
Lead my youth group
Became a leader in the church on the district level
Finished my first semester of College
Learned to play the harmonica
Learned to play the guitar
Learned to play the Bass (don't laugh Paul)
Became rich (working in a factory)
Put myself thousands of dollars in debt (student loans)

Things I Would Like to Accomplish in the Next Decade:
To have read every book of the Bible
Preach the word of God (You have no idea how much I long to do this)
To improve in consistently spending time with God
To improve in my prayer life
To have my first girlfriend
To be content until I get a girlfriend (or if I never get one)
Graduate from college
Read War and Peace
Get better at the Harmonica
Be a better brother
Be a better son
Be a better friend
Be a better brother to my brothers and sisters in Christ
Be a better steward over the things God has given me
To be more disciplined and self controlled
Write a book even if it’s never published
Lead at least one person to Christ a year
Have a bible study on Judges for Junior High kids
Have a period of 24/7 prayer in Montpelier, Oh
Get my driver’s license
Finish a crocheting project
Bungee jump and/or sky dive
See more classic movies
Read more
Understand prayer and worship more
To still be following God to wherever he has for me to go

Hey there Kido..... You know there are those of us that NEVER had any kind of relationship... Earthly one that is... until after hitting that 2nd decade of our lives.. God knows.. and He cares.... He knows you are longing for a special lady in your life.... Be patient... ummmmm you haven't asked Him for more Faith have ya???!!!! Believe me that is a good way to learn patience...We are here looking to see the next decade of accomplishments when you post them!!! Remember to keep a copy of this list... NOT IN THE OPEN... but put one away so 1/2 way you can get it out and possibly add several things you have done that you had no idea to put on your list..... I know the owner of NazNet, Dave McClung, (he used to be pres. of Eastern Naz University) HE has a list of accomplishgments he has done in his life time. It is interesting to go to read it. I havnt the time right now to look the page up he has it on BUT will so you can see how interesting it is to read for someone you dont know...I would enjoy myself, reading where you have been and what you have done.... even IF you aren't close!!

You are a special kid you know???!!!???

You know, you could have shortened your todo list by just saying, "Be better." :)

Thanks for the suggestion heath. I thought that was too general and would have defeated the point of posting the blog in the first place, but thanks though.
